Data Fabric D4X is a global team of digital experts that focus on data-driven solutions to deliver on the objective of building a sustainable digital health business for the diagnostics function of our global life sciences client.​ Residing within the Data & Analytics Global Function, the Data Fabric programme is a strategic initiative aimed at transforming data and analytics by establishing a horizontal framework that enables speed, interoperability and scalability. However, the data landscape across the enterprise is now busy with a focus on reorganisation to simplify. 

There is an imperative to move quickly to cement the narrative for all that Data Fabric should be spoken to regarding any data analytics. To do this, Afiniti helped map and communicate the data-driven change; articulating what’s changing strategically and how users can benefit. The focus on accelerated machine learning is industry-wide, and Data Fabric’s goal is to be seen as the enabler for these next-generation analytics technologies (algorithms, ML, AI) as part of the digital revolution for our client.

  • Employing design thinking, we worked closely with stakeholders and SMEs to prototype their concepts. Through iterative sessions and continuous feedback, we refined solutions that addressed core user needs while proactively managing the psychological aspects of change.
  • Enabled the remit for the steering group and embedded its cadence and focus.
  • Established a distinctive visual brand identity that stands out within the internal marketplace. This visual identity was required to be not only bold and brave, but act as a method of simplifying a complex message for audiences.
  • We worked to deliver multiple workshops with the client, coaching them to be able to articulate how Data Fabric would be delivered across technology, people, process and data. 

  • Created a hub of information as a place where two-way communication could be managed to drive outcomes.

  • Created a strategic perspective that embraced the very essence of the change, rather than a mere tactical one.
  • We collaborated creatively to bring Data Fabric to life, enabling the sounding board and core team to have one Data Fabric voice and to articulate the Data Fabric journey.
  • Equipped core programme team members with assets and a story to influence and persuade senior stakeholders 
  • Supported the team formation by using psychological safety and neuroscience techniques for safety and ideation.
  • Created a single roadmap of efforts that articulated the when and how of Data Fabric for DIA leadership ​
  • Enabled the start of the Data Fabric journey at an enterprise shift level to a dynamic and interconnected horizontal approach, unlocking synergies, eliminating inefficiencies and driving talent flow across product teams and beyond.
